Jim Pendergast, current chairman of the city of San Marcos Sunset Review Commission, has joined the CHR Solutions board of directors. Mr. Pendergast is an attorney with more than twenty-five years’ experience managing small telecommunications companies.

"His level of professional expertise, previous success in overseeing change management, and his background in telecommunications will be a valuable asset and a guiding force for CHR."
Mr. Pendergast is currently serving as chairman of the city of San Marcos Sunset Review Commission, which reviews thirty city commissions, boards and committees. He was CEO and co-founder of Fiber America, Inc., which developed a facilities-based broadband fiber optic network serving Austin and San Antonio, until it merged with El Paso Global Networks in 2002. Previously, he spent nearly twenty years with San Marcos Telephone Company, where he was president and CEO from 1982 to 1994. Mr. Pendergast is a past president of both the Texas Telephone Association (TTA) and the Organization for the Protection and Advancement of Small Telecommunications Companies (OPASTCO). He has also served in leadership positions for a number of organizations, including the United States Telecom Association (USTA) and the Texas State Board of Public Accounting.
