CHR Solutions Surpasses 500k Sites Passed for FTTx Design

This  CHR  milestone  is  the  result  of  the  North  American  sprint  to  meet  the  ever-growing  demand  for  data.    With  global  IP  traffic  forecasted  to  exceed  a  zettabyte  by  year-end-the  race  is  on  to  provide  the  means  to  accommodate  among  other  things,  the  doubling  of  Internet  surveillance,  quadrupling  of  virtual  reality  traffic  and  the  expected  seven-fold  growth  of  Internet  gaming  traffic  over  the  next  four  to  five  years.    Internet  video  is  also  expected  to  quadruple  by  2020;  representing  a  CAGR  of  31%.

The  design  projects  are  comprised  of  a  combination  of  greenfield  and  brownfield  initiatives  and  are  representative  of  both  the  need  for  new  infrastructure  development  as  well  as  improvements  to  existing  infrastructure  as  required  by  both  the  FCC  and  due  in  larger  part  to  consumer  data  demands  across  the  United  States.
