Implementations Project Manager (Sioux Falls, South Dakota)
CHR Solutions is currently looking for a full-time Project Manager in our Software Implementations Department. This position will be located in our Sioux Falls, SD office. This is a mid-level project management position responsible for managing all aspects of assigned projects including integration, scope, time, cost, quality, staff resources, communications, risk and procurement on assigned medium to large software implementation projects. The Project Manager maintains responsibility and accountability on assigned medium to large projects. .Essential Functions
- Effectively manage deliverables, timelines, risks and dependencies on a project that is in line with statement of work and purchase orders.
- Allocate resources effectively including assignment of staff to projects and tasks and ensure availability of adequate equipment and tools for successful delivery of services to clients.
- Evaluate and bid on projects as it relates to clients specific requirements, infrastructure and expectations.
- Manage projects within established cost guidelines.
- Develop and implement project requirements and in conjunction with technical staff complete high-level design documents.
- Manage and track projects with the use of CHR Solutions project management tools (i.e. Microsoft Project, Project Server, Synergy, and OpenAir).
- Ensure projects meet coding/interface standards.
- Implement unit and system integration test plans.
- Proactively address internal and external client problems and needs leading to effective solutions.
- Maintain requirements documentation according to established CHR Solutions standards.
- Research industry topics to set up drafts and requirements and to ensure application meets needs of client base and the telecommunications industry.
- Lead implementations, conversions, and business studies.
- Participate in proposal presentations and studies.
- Inform relevant management personnel of any changes in resource requirements, change in schedules, or delayed completion dates.
- Provide training on projects to other departments as needed.
- Ability to travel up to 50% by car and/or plane, may include weekend travel. Ability to travel internationally is rquired for some positions. Current passport and valid driver license required.
- - Bachelor degree in Business, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Mathematics, or related field preferred.
- - Equivalent combination of education and experience accepted.
- - Four or more years of experience in a Project Management role.
- - PMP Certification or the ability to attain certification in the first 6 months of employment.
- - Telecommunications experience and industry knowledge of Cable, Wireless, Wireline, and OSS/BSS solutions.
- - Broad knowledge of billing, customer care, and/or provisioning preferred.
- - Contracting and negotiating skills a must.
- - Experience in building and managing strong long-term relationships with business partners and clients.
- - Ability to perform well and respond appropriately under pressure in ambiguous situations.
- - Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and lead others.
