Publishing Specialist (Mitchell or Sioux Falls, South Dakota)

The Publishing Specialist serves as a resource to the Software Solutions Business Unit resource for creating, editing, assembling, and distributing documentation, training curriculum, and other content used to support the software solutions provided to clients.

Essential Functions
  1. Serve as business unit resource for graphic design needs and miscellaneous publishing documents.
  2. Create, modify, print, and distribute the training materials for Software Solutions Training Institute of CHR Solutions.
  3. Create and modify web pages for company Intranet and Client Support website, including graphic design, site layout, and presentation.
  4. Produce and distribute internal client newsletters.
  5. Serve as Software Solutions BU resource for production/reproduction/editing/distribution of documents produced for client and/or internal use including but not limited to: Release, software, or rate specific information for CHR software products; Support department procedure documents; User manuals and procedure documents for CHR software products.
  6. Maintain assigned company databases including client email address lists.
  7. Minimal travel by car and/or plane, may include weekend travel. Current valid driver’s license required.
Education and Experience Requirements
  • - Associates or Bachelor degree in Graphic Design or Web Design required.
  • - Equivalent combination of education and experience accepted.
  • - Three or more years of experience in publishing, basic graphic design, or web design preferred.
  • - Experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, Front Page, Access, Outlook Adobe Page Maker, FrameMaker required.
  • - Experience using Adobe PhotoShop and Adobe Illustrator, required.
  • - Experience using a page layout program, such as InDesign/Quark, required.
  • - Experience in web design and maintenance required.
  • - Basic graphic design knowledge required.
  • - Good customer relations skills.
  • - Ability to effectively utilize MS Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, and Outlook).
  • - Ability to operate copier, fax, phone, and other office equipment as needed.
