IT Due Diligence – Pre-deal to mitigate your risk

You painstakingly analyze the financials…why not the information technology (IT) infrastructure? Our IT assessment deeply examines the networks, software, systems, staff and policies to ascertain the hidden costs of merger integration and/or growth.

We recently uncovered almost $1.5 million of needed expenditures in an acquisition planned by a Texas-based private equity firm. The firm subsequently changed its final offer but included a loan for the needed technology remediation efforts post closing.

In another instance, a company built via multiple mergers had incompatible systems ranging from finance to operations. Inventories went unsold because there was no way to view the other business units’ data. It also took months to perform a quarterly financial close.
